Holder, Jr., at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, DC, on February 27, 2015; "The Gospel Tradition: In Performance at the White House" event in the East Room on April 14, 2015; and the International Jazz Day concert on the South Lawn on April 29, 2016. There are photos from the Kennedy Center Honors Reception in the Blue Room on December 2, 2012, December 6, 2015, and December 4, 2016; and from the dinner honoring the 2013 Presidential Medal of Freedom awardees at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., on November 20, 2013. There are also photos of President Obama greeting Aretha Franklin backstage at the Detroit Labor Day celebration in the General Motors lot adjacent to the Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan, on September 5, 2011, and President Obama greeting artists and winners of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, along with Herbie Hancock and Aretha Franklin, in the Oval Office on September 13, 2011.
