FOIA 24-13193-F requested all photographic materials taken by Chief White House Photographer Pete Souza throughout former President Obama’s administration.  This segment of the FOIA contains photographs from January 21, 2009, through February 8, 2009.  Photographs from January 20, 2009, have been released.  

This FOIA primarily contains photographs of briefings, meetings, signings, calls, trips, interviews, and video tapings from January 21, 2009, through February 8, 2009.

It should be noted that many of the documents in this FOIA have been closed due to National Security classification and/or exemptions of the Freedom of Information Act.

The Executive Office of the President (EOP) instance of the Electronic Records Archive (ERA) contains electronic records created or received by Obama administration staff. These records are stored in Search and Access Sets (SAS) that represent their originating computer program, such as Exchange Email or the Worker and Visitor Entry System (WAVES). In addition to records captured from the White House’s electronic systems, EOP-ERA also contains records from the home and shared drives used by White House staff.
