FOIA 22-27458-F requested emails, letters, memos, reports, presidential correspondence, transcripts of national security and daily briefings held for President Barack Obama and photographs and audio clips referring to or mentioning Ukraine, Crimea, Russia, and Putin. The timeframe for this search is January 1, 2014 through May 1, 2014.
This FOIA primarily contains photographs of President Obama participating in meetings, foreign leader phone calls, signings, and press briefings about the situation in Russia and Ukraine. There are photos of President Obama taping a remote interview with Bob Costas for NBC’s coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games on February 20; holding a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk of Ukraine on March 12; attending a G7 Leaders Meeting in The Hague, Netherlands, on March 24; and meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan at the U.S. Ambassador's residence in The Hague on March 25. There are also photos of First Lady Michelle Obama attending the International Women of Courage Awards at the Department of State on March 4.
It should be noted that many of the documents in this FOIA have been closed due to National Security classification and/or exemptions of the Freedom of Information Act.

The Executive Office of the President (EOP) instance of the Electronic Records Archive (ERA) contains electronic records created or received by Obama administration staff. These records are stored in Search and Access Sets (SAS) that represent their originating computer program, such as Exchange Email or the Worker and Visitor Entry System (WAVES). In addition to records captured from the White House’s electronic systems, EOP-ERA also contains records from the home and shared drives used by White House staff.
White House Communications Agency records are processed at the folder/videotape level. While this method maintains folder/videotape integrity, it frequently results in the incidental processing of videotapes that are not wholly responsive to the subject area.
