FOIA 24-25186-F requested photographs from National Security Council meetings in the Situation Room from July 15, 2015, through the end of the administration.  

This FOIA primarily contains photographs from meetings in the Situation Room from that time frame.  Meetings include counterterrorism and terrorism threat briefings; foreign leader video calls; foreign trip preparedness, homeland security briefings; and meetings on Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and ISIL

FOIA 25-65956-F requested all photographs taken on November 8 and 9, 2016, by any White House photographer.  

This FOIA primarily contains photographs from those two days.  Photos from November 8 include photographs of President Obama receiving the Presidential Daily Briefing, meeting with David Axelrod, talking with the Fall White House interns, meeting with senior staff, and participating in an interview with Bill Plante of CBS News.  Photos from November 9 include President Obama speaking with staff about the presidential election, receiving the Presidential Daily Briefing, talking separately on the phone with Senator Mitch McConnell and Merrick Garland, delivering a statement regarding the election in the Rose Garden, meeting with artist Shepard Fairey and family, and delivering remarks at a mix and mingle with current and former Cabinet Members in the Grand Foyer.

It should be noted that many of the documents in this FOIA have been closed due to National Security classification and/or exemptions of the Freedom of Information Act. 

Under requirements of the Ethics in Government Act, Senior United States Government officials must follow detailed requirements regarding public financial disclosures. These disclosures are captured via the Executive Branch Personnel Public Financial Disclosure Reports (OGE Form 278e) and the supplemental Periodic Transaction Reports (OGE Form 278-T), and are ultimately submitted to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), under the Department of Justice. 

In the Obama administration, these forms were initially submitted to the White House Counsel’s Office for review. (Many of the signatures on the OGE form 278e were redacted by the Obama White House.) A PDF copy was maintained by the Counsel’s Office within their electronic files, which were organized by the year the form was prepared.

Obama Electronic records are stored within the Electronic Records Archive (ERA) as Search and Access Sets (SAS). These materials are from the White House Office (WHO) Electronic Files Search and Access Set.

This series includes invitations, menus, and programs created by the Calligraphy Office for events hosted by the White House. These materials were produced by the White House in large quantities and the items in the Printed Materials series represent a sample of the materials that were left over from White House events.

These photographs document the Obamas’ trip to and from Selma for the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday. These include the President and First Lady meeting people in a green room; speeches; participants walking across the Edmund Pettus Bridge; the Obamas touring the National Voting Rights Museum; and the President participating in an interview with Bill Plante from CBS.
