On August 2014, President Obama held the US-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, DC., that aimed to strengthen ties with leaders from across the African continent. The President received many gifts during the three day summit of which was this dagger from Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal. The dagger was designed in the Arab-Ottoman traditional style with detailed silver filigree and coral stone insets on the handle and sheath.

President Obama received this gold and blue key to the city of Buenos Aires from Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, Mayor of Buenos Aires, during his trip to Argentina in 2016. The bow of the key reads "Ciudad de Buenos Aires" around an embossed image of the seal of Buenos Aires City, a dove and two boats.

Made of bronze, this is a figurine of a water buffalo or carabao pulling a mother of pearl cart on a granite base. A small plaque on the base reads: "With compliments, Mario G. Montejo." The carabao is the most useful companion and tool to rural farmers providing a source of draught animal power, meat, milk, and hide. It is seen as a symbol of the hard work and perseverance of the Filipino people. President Barack Obama received this gift in a green wooden box from former Philippines' Secretary of Science and Technology, Mario G. Montejo, during the Nuclear Security Summit in June 2016.

In 2016, President Obama received this wooden German Christmas Pyramid (Weihnachtspyramide) from Chancellor Angela Merkel. Christmas pyramids are a typical German holiday decoration made of a tiered outer frame with candle holders, along with a central carousel and rotor at the top which is driven by warm air from the lit candles. This pyramid has five levels with figures on each showing a nativity scene.

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, the Taoiseach of Ireland Brian Cowen visited the White House and gifted President Barack Obama with this Waterford crystal limited edition bowl filled with shamrocks. The bowl is part of the Prestige Masterpiece Collection, and is inscribed with "Presented to Barack Obama President of the United States of America on the occasion of St. Patrick's Day 2009 by The Taoiseach Brian Cowen TD on behalf of the people of Ireland."

This classic 1840s style banjo was designed and crafted by master craftsman Eddie Hamrick of Hamrick Woodwright, Hickory, NC in 2012. Handcrafted, this banjo is made of maple and walnut with an American flag on the head, the U.S. Presidential seal engraved on the front of the body and Uncle Sam engraved on the back, a suede strap inscribed with “Bluegrass One,” and mother of pearl tuning pegs. The banjo was presented to President Obama during a visit to Charlotte, North Carolina for the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

The diorama features miniatures of the First Family, chefs, grounds keepers, and other garden attendants in a Plexiglas enclosure. There are five square garden beds each with a representation of a variety of fruits and vegetables. It was displayed in the Let's Move Office in the White House from 2013 to 2016.
